Who are we?

Influenced by their past pet experiences, PetChitChat.com was founded and launched by passionate pet owners from Los Angeles in 2007. The team has experienced the full spectrum of emotions over time from the happiness and joys of pet ownership to the pain and sadness felt in pet loss. In their observations, there lacked a cohesive pet community which was easily accessible and focused on their daily pet’s needs. In hopes of addressing the community need, the team’s mission is to build a pet community charged with the following:

1. Promote animal welfare and help pets find loving parents and homes
2. Unite pet owners everywhere and allow them to share their pet knowledge and experiences across the community
3. Leverage the community resources to assist pet owners recover their lost pets

PetChitChat.com is a pet community focused on fostering pet and owner relationships through community involvement in the following areas: health, ownership, news, and trends. The community leverages the power of the pet network to provide a highly collaborative environment which advocates community involvement and participation. All community members are invited to write articles and add comments to published blogs.

To help build the community, members can participate in the following number of ways:

1. Identify and support local community events which sponsor pet health and adoptions
2. Compose pet blogs and publish your thoughts to the community
3. Scour, find, and post interesting pet-related topics ranging from news to photos
4. Engage in existing discussions through by leaving the group feedback
